Collegia appoints former Chase De Vere IFA as head of sales

Collegia, the start-up created as part of an Oxford University innovation looking to revolutionise retirement solutions, has appointed Bart Maher (pictured), a former IFA from Chase de Vere, as its head of sales.

He will be responsible for driving forward the business strategy for the firm and building up its client relationships.

Bart, who has over 25 years’ experience in pensions, joins Collegia from the West Midlands-based business services provider, Rangewell, where he was partnerships director. Prior to this he worked for Smart Pension, Beaufort Consulting (part of the Corinthian group of companies) and as an auto-enrolment consultant. Bart started his career in 1995 as an IFA from leading independent financial services firm Chase De Vere, where he served for over 14 years.

Eduardo Chazan, CEO, Collegia said: “Bart has an extensive knowledge of the pensions industry and has worked closely for years with business owners to ensure their pension and benefits offerings are right for them and their staff. His experience and innate understanding of the industry will be key to the success of Collegia. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Bart Maher, head of sales, Collegia said: “Collegia is a dynamic and creative business looking to turn the world of pensions on its head. I was particularly attracted to the firm’s mission of being a strong advocate of sustainability as a pillar of responsible investments. I am really excited about my role of growing the business and forging strong relationships with both new and existing clients.”
