Danske Bank UK becomes latest lender to join IMLA

Danske Bank UK has become the latest member to join the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA).

Danske Bank UK is part of the Copenhagen-headquartered Danske Bank Group, one of the largest financial enterprises in the Nordics.

Patrick Mullan, head of GB mortgages, will be the appointed IMLA representative. Mullan will bring over 20 years of industry experience to IMLA discussions.

The addition of Danske Bank UK means IMLA has a combined total of 59 full and associate members, spanning banks, building societies, non-bank lenders and mortgage service providers.

Kate Davies, executive director of IMLA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Danske Bank UK into membership and look forward to hearing more from the team at our upcoming meetings and roundtable sessions.

“IMLA has long been the voice of a diverse community of lenders, and we look forward to hearing their views on a range of industry issues, and the association will no doubt benefit from the bank’s extensive knowledge.”

Mullan added: “At Danske Bank we recognise the value IMLA brings to its members, and it will provide us with significant opportunities to collaborate with the industry, especially as we expand our mortgage distribution into the English market.

“We look forward to taking part in IMLA’s upcoming engagements, and meeting with its wider membership over the coming months.”

Yesterday Danske Bank confirmed its launch into the English market.
