General insurance provider, Source Insurance, has appointed Carl Oakes (pictured) as its new director of sales.
Oakes joins from Arthur J Gallagher and has extensive experience of the broker market having previously held a number of senior roles at Legal & General including heading up the Halifax general insurance proposition, its Broker business and latterly as head of new products delivering innovative solutions to help unlock opportunities for brokers.
Oakes said: “I’m really excited to be joining Source, having worked with them in my previous roles. The last few years have been challenging in many ways for brokers, but there are enormous opportunities for growth on the horizon.

As an integral member of Source’s leadership team, Oakes will head up Source’s sales and marketing functions.
