Gareth Ship, COO of Brickowner, is leading a team of 11 members from Manor gym to attempt a new world record and raise funds for veterans.

The team of 12 Manor Family will be attempting a world record next week to raise £40,000 for Rock2Recovery, a social enterprise that supports, veterans, emergency services and their families through stress.

Ship, an ex-veteran himself, said: “We wanted to raise money and awareness for this great cause, I know first hand the difficulties mental health can have on veterans and their families, and I hope our effort can play a small part in helping to change the lives of those affected and their families.”

The attempt, accepted by the Guinness Book of Records, will take place from 6am on the 21st June to 10pm on the 22nd June 2022.

The team of 12 will be locked in a basement gym with no sunlight on the longest day of the year completing 40 hour long workouts with no rest.

“At the end of the 40 hours will be able to leave, but it important to realise that people feel trapped by mental stress for years without help; charities such as Rock2Recovery provide teams of people to support those most at need through the difficult times- so we thought this record was fitting” added Ship
