Colleagues at Mint Property Finance have come together to support NHS Blood and Organ Transplant.
The privately funded lender, headquartered in Altrincham, Cheshire, is recognised for its commitment to charity, and hosts monthly fundraising initiatives for causes close to the team’s heart.
This month the team decided to donate more than just funds with representatives from across the business volunteering to donate blood for NHS Blood and Organ Transplant.
The initiative was spearheaded by Sales & Marketing Manager Stephen Cunningham, who has personally supported the organisation over the last three years.
Speaking on the specialist finance company’s latest charity activity Stephen said: “For those that can, donating blood is one of the most rewarding and easy ways to make a difference.
“I first donated a couple of years ago, just before the pandemic broke, and found it a very gratifying experience. You get a text to follow your appointment stating where your blood is being sent, with mine immediately going to Manchester Royal Infirmary. I donated again in 2021 when I saw that more blood was needed. As I have B+ blood, one of the rarer types and accounting for just 8% of donors, it’s even more important to me to do what I can to support. I’ve made a personal commitment to donate blood annually and was pleased to be joined by members of the Mint Property Finance team in doing so this year.”
Further charitable organisations supported by Mint Property Finance this year include Alzheimer’s Society, Ronald McDonald House Charity, and Warrington Youth Club.
Speaking on the company’s corporate, social and responsibility drive, Founder and Managing Director of Mint Property Finance said: “Charity is incredibly important to Mint Property Finance. Whilst we have ambitious plans for growth, it’s important to us to strive for them with compassion.
“Our sustained charity drive is just one of the ways in which we’re proud to unite and support the team and worthwhile organisations, with every individual having the opportunity to put forward a cause close to their heart.”
NHS Blood and Organ Transplant has 25 permanent donor centres across the UK, underpinned by temporary community run donation centres. Those interested in donating can register at www.blood.co.uk.
