Francois Tual named as new flatfair co-CEO as co-founder Franz Doerr exits

Former Habito chief capital officer Francois Tual (pictured) will take over as flatfair’s co-CEO at the end of the month replacing the outgoing Franz Doerr.

Franz Doerr, one of the firm’s founders, will stand down as a director while Tual will join the board.

Prior to his time at Habito Tual built his career in international banking with firms including Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas.

He will join co-CEO of business operations Gary Wright and chief technical officer Bartosz Alksinin to bring the financial expertise needed to further grow the business.

Wright said: “Francois joins us at a truly exciting time for the business. It’s been a record year of results for new signings and revenue, and his financial expertise will prove instrumental in building on these successes. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Tual added: “flatfair has already done so much to make renting fairer and easier for thousands of people, and I’m thrilled to be able to oversee the company’s finance and strategy in order to bring the benefits to thousands more.”

Doerr concluded: “I’m grateful for being part of the founding team that turned an idea into what is now a multi-million revenue business that benefits thousands of renters and landlords.

“This would not have been possible without the support of our amazing team, partners, suppliers and investors. I‘m confident that the company remains in the good hands of seasoned management that will take flatfair to the next level of success.”
