HSBC increases tracker and holds SVRs

HSBC has increased its tracker rates as lenders reprice following the Bank of England’s (BoE) interest rate hike.

Yesterday the BoE’s Monetary Policy Committee increased the base rate from 1.25% to 1.75%.

The 0.5% increase marks a more aggressive stance from the BoE as it tries to battle soaring inflation.

As of today (Friday 5th August) HSBC is increasing all tracker rates in line with the increased Bank of England Base Rate.

There are no changes to HSBC’s residential standard variable rate or buy-to-let standard variable rate.
