Meet the broker… Loans Warehouse

Meet Katie Wild, national account manager at Loans Warehouse

Tell us a bit about your business.

We are a market leading second charge and bridging finance broker, established in 2006.

Where are you based and where do you operate geographically?

Head office is in Watford, I am based in Cardiff but operate nationally serving our broker community.

What are the main issues impacting your local market?

We are lucky that even during this time of financial instability we have a great relationship with all our lenders, so we can adapt quickly to any changes and to ensure that the applicant always receives the best rate to fit their needs.

It’s been a challenging few months but if we’re honest, we’ve had it easier than our mortgage broker partners, they have our respect.

What challenges are you facing as a broker?

Being able to grow our internal team with people of the level we current have. We pride ourselves on customer service and this will continue to be our priority.

What are the main opportunities for brokers in your area and nationally?

Based on our 5* Trustpilot rating we are a competent company working with hundreds of brokers. We welcome any brokers to work with us and would like to invite anyone who has not yet worked with us to get in touch.

Over the coming 12 months we believe second charges especially will rapidly expand, as more and more individuals are unable to raise funds on a first charge or simple don’t want to touch their existing, low fixed rate, a second charge is going to be the best way to raise funds for almost any purpose.

We’ve also already seen a spike in 2022 in bridging finance being used to save a purchase when a house sale has been delayed or fallen through, as the property market slows this will become more and more in demand.

What could lenders do to help further your business?

Remember that service is key, both industries we operate in have survived many crisis because the service was the priority, please don’t forget that.

We are lucky (and selective) enough to have great direct contacts within our lenders enabling us to maintain standards. We ensure we have variety on our panel and demand competition

What sets you apart from the competition?

What competition?

How should potential borrowers contact you?

I am always contactable on my mobile 07784 921694 or via email [email protected]. If you have a potential client all you need to do is to send us the client’s details and we do the rest on your behalf, keeping you up to date with the process. We are excited to support you along your journey with us.
