Leeds Building Society has appointed Kate Erb as director of operations and infrastructure.
Erb joins the Society with over 20 years’ experience in financial services, where she has broad general management experience and has led major change programmes.
Her wealth of knowledge in transformational change, operations and resilience further strengthens the senior transformation and operations team at Leeds Building Society.
Rob Howse, chief operating officer at Leeds Building Society, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Kate to the Society.
“She’s already proven that she is a highly engaged and versatile leader, and she will be at the heart of our exciting transformation agenda that will equip our colleagues with the technology and tools to deliver on our purpose all while continuing to strengthen our resilience.”
Erb started her financial services career at Capital One after qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG.
She has worked for organisations including Coles Insurance in Australia, Oakbrook Finance where she was chief operating officer, and most recently at start-up bank Aspinall Financial Services as chief operating officer.
Erb added: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Leeds Building Society. In these first few weeks in role, as throughout the recruitment process, I have been thoroughly impressed with the culture, and the fact that the Society’s purpose is truly at the heart of all activity.
“Everything we are doing is working towards the aim of putting home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
“I am thrilled to be able to mobilise teams to deliver against that.”
