CSS walks the Countrywide Challenge

Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS), one of the leading suppliers of valuation panel management services, is set to embark on a 20,741km (12,888 miles) virtual walk which represents the combined cumulative distance of the UK coastline and the circumference of Northern Ireland.

The CSS regional and leadership teams have been challenged to record their daily steps, take walks, go for a run and record the distance which will be logged to reach the distance target.

The Countrywide Challenge will take place over the course of February and all money raised will be donated to MIND. Weekly updates will be posted on the CSS LinkedIn and Instagram pages and anyone wishing to donate can do so by visiting the firms Just Giving page.

MIND is a mental health charity working across England & Wales. It provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding around this important issue.

Matthew Cumber, managing director of Countrywide Surveying Services, said: “The NHS and various Mental Health wellbeing charities recommend walking as a gateway to improving fitness and mental health. So, the aim of our challenge is to encourage everyone within the field to cover a minimum of 10,000 steps a day, to stay healthy and raise money for the charity MIND.

“This represents a fantastic cause and I’m sure that our regional and leadership teams will step up to the plate and smash this challenge.”
