Tell us a bit about your business.

Ramsay & White is an award-winning group that specialises in accountancy, wealth management, real estate, property management and finance for investors and developers across the UK.

Over the last four years we have completed on over £600m in lending, sold over 350 houses and was recognised as one of the fastest growing companies in Wales, Fast Growth Wales 2022, with a growth rate of 372%

Where are you based and where do you operate geographically?

We have three offices; two in South Wales and one in Bath but we are not restricted by location and work with clients all across the country, including overseas investors looking at the UK property market.

What are the main issues impacting your local market?

Delays in legals have caused issues but we are always looking to build relationships with professional and established legal firms that can support our clients’ requirements.

Communication is key in any transaction, and we pick up the phone when things are not moving as quickly as we would like to help the process, it’s important to go above and beyond to get the deal done, this is what makes the difference.

What challenges are you facing as a broker?

The ever-changing landscape from interest rates, lender criteria, tax updates and legislation for landlords and developers.

We have to constantly skill up and be able to adapt with the developing times so we can offer the best service to our clients.

Those that are willing to grow and move with the changes are the ones that will succeed in this market.

What are the main opportunities for brokers in your area and nationally?

Join Ramsay & White where we can train and developer new starters in the industry from mortgage, equity release, commercial and financial advisers with a strong support team to help them excel within the industry.

There is an abundance of opportunity if you have the right mindset, attitude to work hard and enjoy connecting with entrepreneurial clients who are looking to grow their own companies.

What could lenders do to help further your business?

Embrace and invest in technology to help speed up the application process, some lenders are head and shoulders above others in this area.

What sets you apart from the competition?

We offer holistic advice from pensions, investments, funding for new investors to seasoned developers.

We look to ensure our clients use the right resources to build a robust and profitable portfolio taking into account diversification whether that is acquiring assets through a pension structure, SPV, LLP or personal name.

The majority of R&W actively invest in property from commercial to residential as well as investing via stock & shares ISAs, SIPPS, and other investment vehicles, which helps deepen our understanding of what the clients are looking to achieve.
