finova employees tackle Whitechapel Mission’s breakfast challenge

This month, finova employees will be participating in the Whitechapel Mission’s breakfast challenge – a project that feeds unhoused people in central London.

As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), the newly established finova Foundation will encourage employees to use their paid volunteer days to support the initiative.

The philanthropic arm of finova was formed in order to use the business as a force for good and motivate employees to be a part of the initiative.

Participating employees will prepare and serve breakfast to as many as 350 people, working in teams of six to nine.

The Whitechapel Mission has served the homeless and marginalised since 1876, and offers services including a day centre, skills training facilities, career advice and specialised support for complex needs.

Joanna Hopkins, engagement, inclusion and culture manager at finova, said: “I would like to thank the Whitechapel Mission for including our employees in their commendable efforts to tackle homelessness, as well as our own employees for dedicating the time to this important cause.

“Not only will this project help us give back to our community, but it will be a valuable bonding opportunity for many of our employees to collaborate in-person, especially with those who may work in different areas of the business, all while making a positive difference.”
