Market Harborough Building Society appoints head of footprint

Market Harborough Building Society (MHBS) has appointed Tim Neal (pictured) as head of footprint.

Neal will be responsible for managing all aspects relating to the society’s physical footprint, reviewing its health and safety and procurement procedures and implementing its environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy.

He has over 30 years’ experience working in the financial services sector, joining the Leicester Building Society as a cashier in 1982 before progressing to take on a number of roles within retail banking.

In 2010, Neal set up a project management consultancy, which he ran for several years, until he was appointed senior manager for estates and facilities at Nottingham Building Society in 2017.

Neal said: “I am thrilled to be joining MHBS at an extremely pivotal time.

“My ambition is to help create a more compelling and sustainable environment at MHBS where caring for our colleagues, customers and planet are key.”

Iain Kirkpatrick, chief executive at MHBS, added: “Tim’s wealth of experience in the financial services sector makes him the perfect choice for this role.

“He brings with him a deep understanding of facilities management, the needs of our employees and how to create a working environment that promotes their growth and wellbeing.

“I’m delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to working with him.”
