Paradigm Protect, the protection proposition under Paradigm Mortgage Services, has announced a collaborative effort with Aviva to host a series of ‘Soft Skills’ training sessions. The aim is to enhance advisor-client interactions and conversations around protection.
Scheduled for various dates in September (5th, 12th, 20th, and 27th), each session will last an hour and address different aspects of utilising soft skills to initiate and maintain effective protection discussions with clients.
The sessions are designed to benefit both seasoned advisors seeking to refine their communication strategies and newer advisors requiring guidance on starting conversations. It’s also open to those in training who haven’t yet commenced providing advice.
Conducted by Dan Wall, a seasoned presenter and strategic account manager at Aviva, the training will encompass the following topics:
- The initial session will explore strategies for securing a client’s commitment to the appointment, building rapport and trust, and establishing clear objectives.
- The second session will focus on equipping advisors with questioning techniques to facilitate open conversations and assist customers in identifying their protection needs.
- The third session will address various objections advisors might encounter, interpreting their meanings, and offering approaches to handle them.
- The final session will delve into how advisors can effectively summarize their recommendations and solidify solutions for identified issues.
Participation in all four sessions entitles attendees to earn four hours of insurance Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
This initiative underscores Paradigm Protect’s dedication to enhancing advisors’ skill sets and fostering more effective communication in the realm of protection.
