Atec Group appoints Stewart Barnett as head of marketing

Atec Group has named Stewart Barnett as its new head of marketing, effective immediately, as part of its continuing leadership team expansion.

Barnett joins Atec Group with a wealth of experience, primarily from the financial services sector, where he has held significant marketing roles at companies such as Kwik-Fit Financial Services, Ageas, and Webhelp.

Barnett said: “The potential for innovation and growth at Atec and its sub-brands is huge. The business is delivering fantastic organic growth, having more than doubled its customer numbers over the last three years to 300,000 policies with a compound annual growth rate in excess of 30%.

“This is an exciting time to be joining. Atec has huge proprietary technology capabilities that allows us to integrate with retail distributors in a few weeks’ build time and our new products, such as motorhome, are capturing significant sectors of the market within a year of launch.”

Barnett elaborated on his vision for the role: “So I’m looking forward to working with the team to make sure we maximise our digital expertise and continue our rapid growth across the broker and D2C home and leisure insurance markets.”

Prior to his move, Barnett was employed by Huntswood, a firm specialising in resourcing, outsourcing, and advisory services in the financial sector. He joins Atec Group, which comprises several brands including Ceta Insurance, Arkel Underwriting, and InsureMy, among others.

Brendan Devine, CEO of Atec Group, said: “We are thrilled that someone with the skills and experience of Stewart is heading up our marketing team. With his extensive digital background, he will be a huge asset to the organisation, bringing vast amounts of enthusiasm and insight to the role.”

Devine added: “Our growth trajectory continues to exceed our expectations and we have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline. Stewart is the right person to help us bring these to life and we are really looking forward to working closely with him.”
