Signature Property Finance has surpassed its total lending for 2022 in just the first eight months of this year. The Cardiff-based lender announced a total origination of £56m, eclipsing its previous annual record.
The growth follows a strong first quarter in which the company posted a £26.6m figure, bolstered by a new funding line agreed with Hampshire Trust Bank in May. “Our origination of £56m for the eight months to August 2023 surpasses the total achieved for the whole of 2022, which itself was a record year,” said Tony Gilbertson, co-founder & CEO of Signature Property Finance.
The firm’s loan book is now valued at £88m nearing their next self-imposed milestone of £100m. “Our lending success has been achieved not off the back of chasing the lowest rates but building relationships with our trusted introducers and direct clients – which I’d like to thank for their business,” Gilbertson added.
To continue their growth, Signature has been organising ‘Lending listen and lunch’ events, with the next set for 27th September at The Ivy in Manchester, featuring the firm’s brand ambassador Scott Quinnell.
Thomas Howells, chief operating officer, said: “Although we have achieved a lot in the first eight months, we are not complacent and recognise we have to push on and do more for brokers and property developers.”
Howells also added that their lunches are a way for brokers to meet the team and hear from existing clients, “in intimate surroundings that reflect our desire to build strong relationships that will ensure we deliver more record performances.”
