Sprift joins Open Property Data Association as newest founding member

Matt Gilpin, CEO at Sprift, has been announced as the newest member of the Open Property Data Association (OPDA) executive committee.

The appointment confirms the data specialist’s commitment to improving data transparency and standardisation in the property industry.

Since OPDA’s launch on 8th June 2023, its membership has rapidly grown, including some of the biggest names in the property sector.

Sprift Technologies is the latest company to join this member organisation, contributing to its mission of implementing open data and technology standards in the home buying and mortgage industry.

“The progress we’ve made in the three short months since we launched is way beyond anything I expected,” said Maria Harris (pictured), chair of OPDA. “Sprift are one of the most comprehensive and trusted property data providers in the market so I’m delighted to have them join our group and help us drive through the adoption and digital changes we need.”

Gilpin commented on his new role: “I’m exceptionally pleased to be joining the OPDA membership executive committee and am delighted to see this initiative being taken seriously by the industry.

“Our extensive research already highlights that upfront Information shortens transaction times and also reduces fall-through rates by 13.31%, based on our analysis of 1.2m listings across a 12-month period in 2022.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with Maria and the other executive committee members to bring about positive, real change for the benefit of the property industry and related sectors.”
