United Trust Bank strengthens Bridging Servicing team with two senior appointments

United Trust Bank (UTB) has appointed two new senior staff members to its Bridging Servicing team.

Adetayo (Tayo) Odukoya, has been named head of servicing – bridging. Bringing nearly 20 years of experience in senior roles at firms like Santander, Acenden, and Pepper UK, Odukoya will be tasked with elevating the in-life customer service levels and improving operational efficiency.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining the Bridging Servicing Team at UTB during this very exciting time in the industry. I look forward to enhancing both the overall customer experience and UTB’s market position.”

Odukoya will work in close collaboration with Sundeep Patel, director of bridging at UTB, to meet immediate objectives such as refining a strong control framework for the management of the loan journey and adapting swiftly to market changes.

Additionally, Odukoya will focus on implementing Consumer Duty principles for Bridging Service and Support and developing the division’s approach to supporting vulnerable customers.

Providing support to Odukoya will be Tony Rose, who has been promoted to servicing manager.

Rose has been with UTB’s Bridging division since 2016, serving in various roles including client liaison officer and most recently as an operation & project analyst.

He has a career spanning nearly 15 years in the banking sector, including time spent in Australia and New Zealand.

Rose said: “I am delighted to be joining the Bridging Servicing team. I look forward to enhancing our overall customer service and further solidifying UTB’s impressive reputation within the market.”

Patel concluded: “We have invested in some significant appointments this year as we continue to grow our bridging business, improve our processes and commit to consistently delivering the high levels of service brokers demand and deserve.

“With Tayo and Tony on board, working closely with the wider senior management team, we aim to set a new industry standard for in-life loan servicing for both regulated and unregulated bridging customers.”
