Air updates tools for advisers as later life product rates drop

Air has unveiled a series of enhancements to its adviser sourcing tools, aiming to provide better access to the most up-to-date products and rates as the sector sees a decline in product rates.

Among the enhancements, Air has introduced a revised version of WriteRoute, its comprehensive fact find tool. Dubbed ‘Partner-Endorsed’, this iteration offers an improved framework and includes additional inquiries to gather more nuanced data about clients, such as their monthly financial activities. Members can still personalise the tool with their distinctive branding and gain access to the Comentis software which offers insights on client vulnerabilities.

In collaboration with Comentis, Air has also integrated a new financial vulnerability assessment in WriteRoute. With this feature, members can assess their clients’ financial vulnerability based on four criteria outlined by the FCA. This includes health and life events, resilience, and capability. The tool permits members to download comprehensive reports that detail these vulnerabilities, providing further insights into how specific circumstances might be influencing clients, and offering advice on providing the necessary support.

Another major upgrade is the provision for members to personalise interactive digital LTV (loan-to-value) and repayment tools with their branding. This allows clients to estimate the potential equity they could release, factoring in their age and property value. Recognising the significant demand from advisers, Air swiftly created this online solution ensuring advisers can readily access the tools they require.

Moreover, Air’s borrowing forecast tool, which showcases projections across diverse product categories, has been optimised to automatically import product data from the adviser sourcing results, eliminating the need for redundant data entry.

Furthermore, to keep members updated in real-time, Air has incorporated an API health check feature in its sourcing platform. This function promptly notifies users about any disruptions to integrated APIs and offers timelines for potential resolutions.

Mike Taylor, managing director of Air, said: “At Air, we pride ourselves on the quality technology that underpins the work we do with later life lending professionals. Our latest round of updates to Air Sourcing is a testament to our dedication in providing advisers with market-leading technology to help them support a diverse range of client needs.

“In improving the efficiency and reliability of our tech, we can help advisers increase the amount of time spent actually speaking with clients and finding positive outcomes for their individual circumstances.”
