Chorley Building Society named Later Life Lender of the Year at MoneyAge Awards 2023

Chorley Building Society has emerged victorious at the MoneyAge Awards 2023, held in London on 12th October, claiming the title of ‘Later Life Lender of the Year’.

The accolade recognises the institution’s outstanding efforts in providing mortgage support to members who will be 70 years or older at the end of their mortgage term.

Stephen Penlington, chief executive officer at Chorley Building Society, said: “We pride ourselves in how we understand the later-life market, and take a genuine interest in our members’ individual circumstances.

“We are all extremely proud to add another accolade to our collection and hope to continue to build on this.”

Stuart Bryce, the society’s head of business development, and Clare Mahood, head of marketing, were present at the ceremony to accept the trophy.

Reflecting on the win, Bryce said: “It’s always a pleasure and honour to be recognised for the hard work that goes on at Chorley Building Society.

“We’re proud of our range of products and support for the later-life demographic, and this award is for the relentless efforts of our team.

“We faced some tough competition, which makes it even more rewarding to come out on top.”
