Paradigm has added a new Cybersecurity module to its CPD Test Zone.
The module covers common cyber-attacks, protection methods, and affordable solutions. It also details regulatory requirements and guidance on creating a cybersecurity plan.
While all staff at advisory firms can benefit, Paradigm suggests it’s especially relevant for senior managers in charge of data protection and financial security.
The CPD Test Zone, part of Paradigm’s CPD Academy, offers video lessons, multiple-choice questions, and case studies. Topics in the Zone range from Anti-Bribery to Vulnerable Clients. The wider CPD Academy provides free access to training materials, events, and a literature library.
Christine Newell, mortgage technical director at Paradigm, said: “Our goal is to provide quality training materials to help firms serve their customers better. Protecting against cyber threats is crucial.” She referenced a report stating 39% of UK businesses identified cyber-attacks last year, with the average data breach cost at £4,200.
Newell added: “This module helps firms understand threats and how to defend against them. With growing challenges and 16 tests available, we recommend firms incorporate them into their annual training.”
