SmartSearch appoints Julie Green as client services director to fuel next phase of growth

SmartSearch, the provider of digital compliance solutions, has announced the appointment of Julie Green as its new client services director.

Green, who has been with SmartSearch for nearly six years, will take on this new role during a pivotal time of growth for the firm.

Starting her career at SmartSearch as a client services manager, Green has worked her way up, gaining experience in operations, innovation, and people management. Before her most recent appointment, she served as vice president of business operations.

The firm’s client base has grown by over 80% in the past five years, making the role of client services director critical for maintaining high levels of customer service for more than 6,500 clients. Green will lead the team in delivering customer service and will also oversee the launch of new products such as the Source of Funds and Risk Assessment tools.

“I am incredibly proud to be joining the board at SmartSearch, taking on this important role at such an exciting time for the business,” said Green. “Our rapid growth is proof of our commitment to delivering innovative digital compliance solutions, paired with outstanding customer service and support.”

Green will work closely with the Go To Market team to provide customers with the tools they need to combat financial crime. Her role on the board will help shape customer-centric strategies, keeping SmartSearch at the forefront of digital compliance solutions both in the UK and globally.

Collette Allen, COO of SmartSearch, added: “I congratulate and welcome Julie to the board. With her wealth of experience across the business, she will be a strong advocate for our customers as we deliver solutions to fight against money laundering and financial crime.”

Green’s promotion also aligns with SmartSearch’s focus on internal growth and development. She initially joined the company to support current COO, Collette Allen, in building the client services team.

Her appointment adds further female representation to the company’s executive team, which now consists of four men and three women. This not only reflects SmartSearch’s commitment to diversity and inclusion but also strategically positions the company for future growth.

SmartSearch’s digital compliance platform currently supports more than 6,500 clients and 60,000 users worldwide. The configurable and recently enhanced platform is trusted by one in three of the UK’s top 200 law firms, one in two of the top 100 accountancy firms, and more than 1,000 property companies.
