The British Business Bank has unveiled a comprehensive guide targeted at assisting smaller businesses in navigating the world of finance.
The guide, titled ‘Making business finance work for you,’ is part of the Bank’s efforts to support business development at various stages and is being released during its annual Business Finance Week.
Business Finance Week, taking place from 6th-10th November, is set to feature a series of free events and seminars aimed at smaller UK businesses.
These sessions are organized in collaboration with industry partners and will cover daily themes such as starting up, growing, thriving, innovating, and planning the next steps.
The guide, accessible at British Business Bank’s Finance Hub, is crafted to empower businesses with knowledge to make informed decisions about securing appropriate finance.
It addresses seven key challenges businesses often encounter, such as starting up, R&D, importing and exporting, protecting cash flow, debt consolidation, purchasing assets, and scaling up.
Louis Taylor, CEO of the British Business Bank, emphasised the importance of accessible financial guidance for businesses: “It can be challenging for businesses to find the right finance at the right point in their journey.
“I hope our new ‘Making business finance work for you’ guide, the seminars and other events that we are running during this year’s Business Finance Week can help businesses find the information and finance that they need to take them to the next level.”
