Four in five Brits said that the current mortgage market has impacted their mental health, a new survey by Confused.com mortgages has revealed.
Confused.com mortgages surveyed homeowners on their attitudes towards remortgaging and the current mortgage market in the UK.
According to the findings, three in 10 responders were excited about the potential benefits of remortgaging, despite over half of responders being concerned about the potentially higher interest rates they would face when they remortgage.
Over three in four also reported they were more concerned about mortgage rates and housing than five years ago.
In addition, four in five responders reported that their concern impacted their mental health, with two in five seeking therapy or counselling.
