Paradigm Protect adds Bupa to private medical insurance panel
Paradigm Protect, part of Paradigm Mortgage Services, has added Bupa to its private medical insurance (PMI) panel.
From today, Paradigm Protect member firms will be able to access Bupa’s personal health insurance product.
The product comes with access to a digital GP or nurse 24/7 and a choice of private hospitals, mental health cover, and access to breakthrough cancer drugs and treatments.
Clients can choose between two health insurance options within its Bupa By You product: Comprehensive Cover which includes private diagnosis and treatment, or Treatment and Care cover which offers private treatment following a diagnosis.
Advisers can manage individual clients via Bupa’s Consumer Intermediary Portal, which provides: information on products and services; FMU, Moratorium, Switch and XGS quotes; the ability to submit applications and upload supporting documents; and literature and documentation.
Mike Allison (pictured), director of protection at Paradigm, said: “With the healthcare landscape changing significantly in a post-Covid world, there has been a growing demand from Paradigm member firms to have increased support in this area in order to support an increasing need from their clients.
“We are therefore very pleased to be broadening our PMI panel by adding Bupa to it today, who bring with them a world-class proposition, known throughout the country, and a raft of services and benefits to both advisers and their clients.
“Everyone at Paradigm Protect is looking forward to working with the Bupa team in this important product sector, and to helping make the connection between them and our members.”
Jordan Ayrey, head of consumer intermediary for Bupa UK Insurance, added: “We’re pleased to be partnering with Paradigm to help bring Bupa’s services and benefits to advisers and their clients, extending our reach in the intermediary market.
“Advisers can get all the information they need about Bupa policies from our new Consumer Adviser Hub, including a comprehensive range of digital materials and toolkits.”
