The self-employed division at Just Mortgages is experiencing its busiest December ever for new inductions, rapidly approaching a total of 500 brokers.
For the first time, the national brokerage is conducting three induction sessions in December, with over 30 new brokers being onboarded in a single month.
This surge follows the division’s best quarter of the year for new applications, with around 20 new applications received each in both October and November.
2023 has been a standout year for recruitment at Just Mortgages. The second quarter saw 52 applications to join the self-employed division, and 48 new brokers were welcomed in the first quarter.
Just Mortgages’ employed division, currently comprising over 150 brokers, works alongside the self-employed division to offer a platform for brokers to work independently.
This includes either operating under the Just Mortgages brand or using the ‘own brand’ facility.
Carl Parker, national director at Just Mortgages, commented on the division’s growth: “Rather than winding down at the end of the year, we have been ramping up our efforts to meet the demand to go self-employed with Just Mortgages.
“Given the current climate and the leap of faith required to go self-employed, seeing such high and consistent levels of interest is hugely encouraging and a real testament to the valuable proposition we have built.
“That proposition has continued to evolve as the division has grown, enabling ambitious brokers to not only launch their own business, but write more business, enter new markets and eventually, expand their own team.
“A key component to this is the support structure put in place, increasing training routes through our learning and development team, and access to advice and real-world experience through our knowledgeable management team.
“With this structure in place, the talent in our division and a fantastic new cohort, 2024 promises to be an exciting year for the division – especially as we fast approach 500 brokers.”
In total, including its employed division, Just Mortgages boasts over 650 brokers nationwide.
