Monmouthshire Building Society launches BDM chatbot

Monmouthshire Building Society has launched a chatbot function on its intermediaries website, designed to meet the needs of its mortgage broker network.

The bot, known as Monty, is a virtual business development manager (BDM) and provides instant responses to criteria questions.

The society created Monty in order to provide choice in the way brokers communicate, as well as a 24/7 service proposition.

Caroline Mitchell, mortgage distribution manager at Monmouthshire Building Society, said: “We’re delighted to have launched Monty our Chatbot BDM to our broker community.  

“With a click of a button our brokers can now get answers to their lending criteria queries enabling them to provide their customers with an efficient service any time of day.”

The chatbot is simple to use by clicking the ‘chat’ icon on the Intermediaries specific website, the broker can then type in their criteria question and Monty will respond.
