The Tipton supports local charities with nearly £10,000 in donations

The Tipton and Coseley Building Society, through its Charitable Foundation, has made significant charitable contributions totalling £9,738.34 in December 2023. This initiative is part of the society’s commitment to supporting the community in the West Midlands, particularly those in need.

Among the beneficiaries are the Priory Park Amateur Boxing Club in Dudley, which fosters sport among people of all ages, and NICE, a Moseley-based charity assisting adults and children with movement disorders like cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis.

Marking its 25th anniversary in 2024, The Tipton’s Charitable Foundation has been actively contributing to the community since its inception in 1999. The foundation, driven by a panel of Tipton employees and community members, meets biannually to allocate funds. More information can be found at The Tipton’s Charitable Foundation.

The December 2023 donations will aid various organisations, including St Giles Hospice, Omega (the National Association for End of Life Care), Wolverhampton Samaritans, Birmingham Hospice, and The Mary Stevens Hospice, in addition to Priory Park Amateur Boxing Club and NICE.

Amy Fellows from The Tipton commented on the initiative: “2023 has been a particularly challenging time for charities as many people struggle with the cost of living crisis. Supporting local people has always been one of the guiding principles of The Tipton, so we are pleased that we are able to make donations to these wonderful charities.”
