Andy Mason of Lloyds Banking Group to retire

Andy Mason (pictured), head of housing and sustainability at Lloyds Banking Group, is set to retire on April 5th 2024.

Mason has worked for Lloyds Banking Group for 30 years, starting his career as a financial adviser in the Jarrow branch.

He spent a large proportion of his early career working in investments, pensions and protection, working across advice, distribution, relationship and then product development teams, before making the move to mortgages as head of intermediary products.

In this role Mason gained commercial experience and started to work closely with the intermediary team, where he later moved as head of housing and sustainability in 2020.

He supported the group’s societal housing ambitions, leading to the first Lloyds Banking Group Housing Senate in 2022 and, more recently, establishing the Shared Ownership Council.

Esther Dijkstra, managing director intermediaries at Lloyds Banking Group, said: “On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, I would like to thank Andy for his dedication and leadership, and I wish him well in this next phase of life.”

Mason added: “It has been a very enjoyable career with the Group, during which I’ve had wonderful colleagues and made many friends in the industry.

“I look forward to spending more time with my family but I don’t doubt my naturally curious mind will open the door to new adventures sometime in the future!”
