Chris Webb joins Arbuthnot Commercial ABL as director of business development

Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending has appointed Chris Webb as the director of business development for the Midlands and South West Regions.

With a career spanning key roles at financial organisations such as Barclays, Santander, ThinCats, and most recently, Investec, Webb brings a wealth of experience in structuring Asset Based Lending (ABL) transactions.

This announcement follows the retirement of Keith Rose, who departs on the 31st of March 2024, having joined Arbuthnot Commercial ABL in September 2018.

Webb said: “The highly experienced and enthusiastic team, combined with the business culture, strong market position, commercial appetite and growth aspirations, were all compelling factors in my decision to join Arbuthnot Commercial ABL.

“Their reputation for structuring tailored ABL solutions that provide clients with the speed and certainty to grow is well known in the market and fits perfectly with my ethos.

“The new office in The Colmore Building, Birmingham, located in the heart of the city’s main business district, signifies Arbuthnot’s strong commitment to supporting key business introducers and clients in the region.”

Andrew Rutherford, commercial director at Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending Limited, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Chris Webb as the director of business development for the Midlands and South West Regions.

“We also extend our gratitude to Keith Rose for his outstanding contribution to the business and wish him a long and happy retirement.

“Chris’s extensive expertise, network and track record in the finance industry, particularly in structuring flexible and bespoke funding solutions, will be invaluable in driving further growth.

“We look forward to working with him to expand our regional presence and build on our key business introducer relationships.”
