Royal London, the life, pensions, and investment mutual, has appointed Peter Josse as its Group chief operating officer, effective from 4th March 2024.
Josse, who has a 20-year tenure in banking including a significant role as chief information officer at Barclays Bank plc, will report directly to Barry O’Dwyer, Group CEO.
O’Dwyer said: “To have someone of Peter’s calibre and track record joining Royal London demonstrates our ambition.”
He highlighted the company’s focus on modernising operations and improving interactions with customers and financial advisers, adding: “Peter brings passion for using technology to provide outstanding digital experiences and a vision for delivering great customer outcomes.”
Josse expressed his enthusiasm for joining Royal London, particularly attracted by its customer-owned model: “Being able to focus on delivering long-term value solely in the interests of our customers was an incredibly exciting prospect.”
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
