Stafford Railway Building Society, established by railway workers 146 years ago, has rebranded to match its evolution beyond its roots, to The Stafford Building Society.
The change will come into effect from Friday 1st March 2024.
The rebrand reflects the society’s respect for its origins, while recognising that it no longer operates solely within the railway industry, serving clients regardless of their background or profession.
The intermediary site will also be enhanced, creating a separate brand, The Stafford for Intermediaries.
Steve Jones, CEO of The Stafford Building Society, said: “We are excited to embark on this new chapter as The Stafford Building Society.
“While our name may have evolved, our mission and commitment to our members remain constant.
“We’ve been around for nearly 150 years, and with this rebrand, we look forward to serving our members’ needs for another 150 years.”
The society’s commitment to sustainability will be seen in a staggered approach to redistributing branded material, using up existing stock of passbooks, leaflets and other documents before new material is brought in.
