Stuart Tragheim to step down as Holloway CEO

After over seven years serving as Holloway’s CEO, Stuart Tragheim will step down at the end of February 2024.

Tragheim said: “Late last year we developed a new, exciting five-year strategy for the society, which the board fully supports.

“I believe that it is in the best interests of the society for the board to find a new CEO now so that he or she has the best opportunity to deliver the whole strategy with their executive team rather than joining part way through the implementation stages of our new strategy.

“Serving as the society’s CEO has been an honour and a privilege and I am genuinely humbled by what we have managed to achieve over the past seven and a half years.

“We have grown and modernised a small friendly society, built a brand and a great team, completed a complex IT transformation programme, developed new propositions and services for our supporting advisers and our members and built an enviable reputation for service quality, especially around claims management.

“I would like to thank all of my colleagues for their unwavering support, commitment and enthusiasm over the years.”

Derek Wright, chair of Holloway Friendly, said: “I would like to thank Stuart for everything he has done for the society over the past seven and a half years.

“Under his leadership, the society has changed out of all recognition and is now well-placed to continue on its growth trajectory. We wish Stuart well for the future.

“We will now begin the process to find a new CEO.”
