United Trust Bank makes two senior appointments

United Trust Bank (UTB) has continued to grow its deposits business with two new senior appointments in customer service and operations.

Alan O’Shea has been promoted to head of customer experience, having joined UTB in December 2019.

Since joining UTB, O’Shea has been responsible for ensuring that customers receive a great experience when managing their savings and represents customers and their interests at all internal meetings.

His new role extends this remit, and his main responsibility will be to ensure UTB continues to deliver excellent outcomes for its customers.

Stella Kitanos has joined the bank’s deposits division as head of operations.

Kitanos’ banking career spans more than 30 years working in senior customer service and operations roles within financial services businesses including Tandem Money, Octopus Investments and, most recently, Ziglu.

In her new role with UTB, she will be responsible for managing the operations and service of the deposits business including personal, business, ISA and charity deposit accounts.

Brian Todd, head of deposits – United Trust Bank, said: “Customers are at the very centre of UTB’s business and as well as giving them a safe and rewarding place to grow their savings we want them to enjoy a service which is second to none, whether they deal with us online, over the phone or in writing.

“Alan is a fantastic advocate for the customer, and over the last few years he has helped to drive improvements to our processes and services which have delivered tangible benefits.

“He is the ideal person to preside over the future development of UTB’s customer experience.

“Stella brings a huge amount of service and operations experience to the team. The knowledge she has gained working in successful savings and investment businesses will be extremely useful as we continue to grow UTB’s deposits book and develop new channels so that even more savers can benefit from the range of competitive products UTB has to offer.”
