Hilco boosts bridge lending division with double appointment

Hilco Real Estate Finance (HREF), the specialist real estate lender, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Alexey Shokin as senior business development consultant and the promotion of Patrick Davenport-Jenkins to vice president.

Alexey Shokin brings extensive experience, having arranged over £200m in loans and built strong connections within international family offices and borrowers across mainland Europe and the Far East.

Commenting on his appointment, Shokin said: “I am really pleased to join Hilco. I have worked with the team since they entered the market last year and I have been hugely impressed with their ability to deliver lending solutions for their clients in a commercial and expeditious manner.”

Patrick Davenport-Jenkins, who joined HREF as an associate in 2023, will now focus on serving clients in the North of England and Scotland.

He shared his enthusiasm about his new role, stating: “When I joined HREF last year, I saw that it was a fantastic opportunity to help develop what I believe will become one of the leading real estate lending businesses in the UK.

“I’m excited to be stepping up by originating my own loans and taking on more responsibility in underwriting and executing transactions.”

Brad Altberger, CEO and co-founder of HREF, highlighted the growing demand for their services, especially as traditional banks fail to meet market needs. “We are a client-focused organisation, and the addition of Alexey and promotion of Patrick strengthens our ability to meet the demands of our clients,” he commented.

HREF offers bespoke, flexible property finance solutions across various real estate sectors nationwide, with loans ranging from £1m to over £50m.
