Skipton International expands leadership with new appointments

Skipton International, a subsidiary of The Skipton Group, has expanded its leadership team with two key appointments to support its growth trajectory. Kaz Veljovic has been appointed as chief people officer, and Pete Turner has joined as chief operating officer.

Veljovic, with her extensive background including senior roles at the States of Jersey, Standard Bank, and Citi Group, brings over eight years of senior HR and EDI leadership experience. Speaking on her new role, she said: “My mission is to empower our people as the company grows. As CPO I’ll lead the creation and delivery of our people strategy in alignment with business objectives to continue to make Skipton a great place to work.”

Turner, who has a substantial history in the financial services industry, particularly with the HSBC Group, is noted for his exceptional leadership qualities. On his appointment, he commented: “I am delighted to join Skipton International and look forward to working with my fellow leadership colleagues to navigate the complexities of today’s financial services sector during a time of organisational growth.”

CEO Jim Coupe acknowledged the strength of the new leadership additions, stating: “With our new appointments, Skipton International has an exceptional leadership team to move onto our next stage of growth for a new generation.”
