HSBC UK increases cashback incentives for Energy Efficient Home Mortgages

HSBC UK has enhanced its cashback incentive offering for customers investing in energy efficient homes.

From today (18th June), customers taking out one of the bank’s Energy Efficient Home (EEH) products will now benefit from further cashback incentives ranging from £750 to £1,250.

This includes properties with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of Band A or B for residential first-time buyer, home mover and remortgage customers,

Oli O’Donoghue, head of mortgages at HSBC UK, said: “We are committed to helping our customers secure the best deals as they navigate the property market, whether they are getting onto or moving up the property ladder.

“Following a review of our EEH cashback offer, we are increasing with amounts rising from the current £500, to £750 for 2 or 3-year mortgages and £1250 for 5-year mortgages.

“The EEH cashback is paid in addition to any other incentives the customer may be eligible for.

“This increase has been designed to promote sustainable choices while rewarding customers who have, or wish to acquire, a more energy efficient home.”
