Five colleagues from the Metro Bank lending operations team have used paid volunteer days to support Oxfam with a range of activities.
Metro Bank gives every employee a ‘Day to Amaze’ – a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause.
For the fifth time this year, Metro Bank volunteers partnered with Oxfam for a variety of activities, including sorting and steaming clothes, pricing stock, and assisting customers at Oxfam.
Oxfam expressed gratitude for the consistent support received from Metro Bank colleagues.
Nayna Patel, mortgage operations manager at Metro Bank, said: “We are delighted to support Oxfam once again through our volunteering efforts.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to such a worthy cause and to see firsthand the difference we can make.”
Over 2024 Metro Bank has learned that Oxfam’s London hubs play a central role in ensuring that the donated items are categorised and reach communities all around the UK.
