Purplebricks appoints Nick Gunga as chief revenue officer

Purplebricks has appointed Nick Gunga (pictured) as chief revenue officer (CRO).

Gunga joined Purplebricks from TalkTalk, where, in his 19-year tenure, he held numerous roles, most recently managing director of the wholesale services division, and helped grow the company from 200,000 customers to more than 3.5 million.

Gunga said: “Purplebricks prioritises customers, and this is a sentiment I have held throughout my career.

“Its aim is to democratise buying and selling homes by making it more affordable and accessible.

“The notion of democratisation has been pivotal in my time at TalkTalk as we believed broadband is a right not a privilege and should be accessible to all.

“I’m looking forward to working at a company with a shared vision and an amazing proposition to keep people at the heart of what we do and put them first.”

Sam Mitchell, CEO of Purplebricks, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Nick to Purplebricks, where he’ll bring a breadth of knowledge from his long standing career in the telecoms industry.

“His nearly two decade track record at TalkTalk shows his ability to steer a business and foster customer growth.

“This will prove invaluable as Purplebricks continues to expand and maintain a customer-centric approach to home ownership.”
