Protection Guru has appointed Steve Davey (pictured) as head of specialist distribution.
Davey joins after over four years at a protection specialist, where for the past 18 months he was head of protection and general insurance.
In this newly created role, Davey will focus on delivering Protection Guru’s offerings to support those advisers servicing the protection market.
He will also help develop Protection Guru’s research, learning and development resources available to participating advisers.
Davey said: “In just five years, Protection Guru has had a hugely positive impact on the industry. In previous roles, I’ve seen the service as key for new joiners.
“Having seen the tools and services the Protection Guru team has created, and their next offerings in the pipeline, these would have been a huge benefit to me in previous adviser roles.
“I am really excited to be given the challenge of taking these to high volume protection advisers.
“Having spent years working with the challenges such firms face I have first-hand experience of the challenges they face.”
