Stonebridge has expanded its appointed representative (AR) support functions with the appointment of Matt Buckland and James Porter, who take on the roles of quality and performance manager and business standards assessor team manager, respectively.
Both of the network’s latest hires have been mortgage advisers during their careers, with Buckland working as a whole of market broker for Sequence, and Porter as a mortgage adviser with Nationwide.
The duo also have experience including positions at Lloyds Banking Group and HL Partnership for Buckland and Openwork and PRIMIS for Porter.
Porter joins Stonebridge from PRIMIS, having spent five and a half years at the network, where he was responsible for file assessment.
Buckland joins from Giving Mortgages, where he was compliance manager.
Gavin Earnshaw, operations director at Stonebridge, said: “Our member firms’ experience of being part of the Stonebridge family is key.
“That’s why we place such importance on the continuous improvement and strengthening of our AR support functions.
“We put our money where our mouth is by both investing in our people and attracting new talent with extensive sector experience.
“Matt and James are not only great additions to the team; their move to Stonebridge also shows the pull of an ambitious yet friendly network with a clear strategy for providing market-leading support to its members.”
Porter added: “Joining Stonebridge is about pushing myself to always do more and do better; in that regard, Stonebridge is the perfect home – here I get to work on a bigger scale and in an environment that closely aligns with my values.”
Buckland concluded: “Stonebridge’s reputation in the adviser space, coupled with all the great things I was hearing from people already working here, meant it was a no-brainer for me.”
