Leeds Building Society cuts mortgage rates by up to 0.35%

From today (Friday 23rd August), Leeds Building Society has lowered interest rates by up to 0.35% across selected residential fixed-rate mortgages, with rates now starting at 4.09%.

Its 5-year fixed rate up to 75% loan-to-value (LTV) with £999 fee has been reduced from 4.44% to 4.09%.

Leeds’ 5-year fixed rate up to 75% LTV with zero fee has been reduced from 4.57% to 4.22% and its 3-year fixed rate up to 75% LTV with zero fee was reduced by 4.85% to 4.60%.

Finally, the society’s 2-year fixed rate up to 65% LTV with zero fee and £500 cashback has been reduced from 5.10% to 4.79%.

Jonathan Thompson, senior mortgage manager at Leeds Building Society, said: “We’ve already made a number of cuts in rates across our mortgages over the past few weeks but we continuously look to stay as competitive as possible.

“Our latest reductions relate to a range of purchase and remortgage products as we seek to support a variety of different types of borrower to get the home they want or a better deal on an existing mortgage.”
