Melton Building Society has appointed Michele Ibbs (pictured) as non-executive director.
Ibbs joined the society’s board having completed a nine year term with Marsden Building Society, where she was senior independent director and chair of board nominations and remuneration committees.
An experienced non-executive director, she has held roles at The Ombudsman Services Limited and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Currently chair of the board at Connexus Homes Limited, and a non-executive director, Ibbs is also a shareholder representative for the Cambridgeshire County Pension Fund on the board of Cambridge and Counties Bank Limited.
Ibbs also brings experience from her executive career across both private and public sectors with organisations such as Wedgwood, Princes Foods, Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd and Liverpool John Moores University.
Ibbs said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Board at Melton Building Society and to have the opportunity to help build on the successes of the Society as it enters its 150th year.”
