Metro Bank credit risk team raises £1,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Metro Bank has raised over £1,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as part of its ‘Day to Amaze’ charity initiative.

The bank’s credit risk team walked the length of London’s Victoria Line in support of the charity, with the 30km trek beginning at Walthamstow Central and concluding in Brixton.

The team’s commitment has already yielded over £1,000 in donations, and each pound raised will go directly to funding ground-breaking research and life-saving treatments.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.

In recent years, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity has raised millions to support cancer with over 1500 clinical trials conducted annually.

Julie Berryman, head of retail credit risk at Metro Bank, said: “This walk wasn’t just about getting from point A to point B – it was about making strides for a cause that’s close to our hearts.

“We might have felt a few blisters but knowing that our effort contributes to the incredible work at The Royal Marsden made every step worth it.”
