A new research initiative launched this month by the Open Property Data Association (OPDA) aims to gather insights from buyers on how the UK homebuying process could be improved.
The survey, distributed by over 30 OPDA member firms including Atom bank, Inventory Base, and Kotini, is targeting thousands of homebuyers and potential buyers. The findings will contribute to OPDA’s campaign to modernise and digitise the homebuying process.
The survey, open until Monday 30th September, takes less than 15 minutes to complete and can be done anonymously. OPDA is keen to understand not just how homebuyers feel about the current process, but also their views on using digital property data to streamline transactions.
Maria Harris, chair of OPDA, commented: “We’ve all heard examples of how bad the torturous and archaic homebuying experience is in this country. But we’re taking our research further by asking consumers not only what they think about the experience, but also how they feel it could be improved and about their attitudes to digital property information. We’d love the industry to share the survey link with their own customers to generate the biggest consumer voice possible.”
The results will form the basis of a white paper that OPDA will present to the Government and other key stakeholders later this year.
