Propertymark have been active this month at the three major party conferences, engaging with agents and discussing important legislation with politicians, including the Renters’ Rights Bill.
Propertymark attended the Liberal Democrat Conference from Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th September and will exhibit at the Labour Party Conference from Sunday 22th to Wednesday 25th September, followed by the Conservative Party Conference from Sunday 29th September to Wednesday 2th October.
The organisation aims to highlight its members’ dedication and ethics, while showcasing their research and position papers in support of various reform campaigns.
These conferences will allow Propertymark to connect with new MPs, providing them with insights into the industry and helping them understand what Propertymark represents.
This year, Propertymark has also produced a new councillors information pack, which includes consumer advice, information on landlord and agent forums, and current positions on addressing empty homes and licensing schemes.
The Labour Conference will offer further opportunities to engage with Ministers and push for change in the sector.
Timothy Douglas, head of policy and campaigns at Propertymark, said, “The Party Conferences allow us to champion agents and their roles as well as show analysis of the full property market that paints a clear picture of current conditions and implications seen along the way.
“We look forward to generating new Propertymark ambassadors, shouting about the hard work of our members and the industry as a whole, and continuing to work with the current UK Government to provide the nation with fair, workable and evidence-based policy solutions for future reforms.”
