Yopa has launched an ‘associate broker’ model, offering self-employed estate agents a platform and support.
The Yopa Associate Model was designed for existing self-employed estate agents or those considering self-employment in the future.
Associates will have the ability to set their own fees, all within a no sale, no fee offering for customers.
Associates will also be responsible for how fast or slowly they grow, depending on their lifestyle choice, ambition and circumstances.
Additionally, Yopa offers flexible options on fee packages to provide flexibility.
The Yopa Associate Model will have the full backing of the Yopa team, providing guidance, resources, and support.
Whereas the current Yopa model postcode allocation is defined by franchise level, associates will have the flexibility to operate in any postcode across the UK.
This will provide opportunities for cross-country referrals for associates also benefitting existing franchise owners in revenue share.
The Yopa Associate Model can be sponsored by existing Yopa franchise owners, who will mentor and support associates as they take this step towards a more empowered future in estate agency.
As a Yopa associate, agents will have access to a network of almost 200 agents—and growing—as well as the expertise of Yopa’s central teams, including marketing, and learning and development.
Verona Frankish, CEO of Yopa, said: “Yopa has become a trusted and well-known brand in the fixed-fee, hybrid estate agency space since 2016 and the business has been on an incredibly focused journey of growth, in recent years.
“As a result, our path to sustained profitability is on track having made profit across several months in 2024, for the first time in Yopa’s history, with a run rate of annual profitability in FY 24/25.
“Therefore, we felt that now was the right time to take the next step in the company’s evolution with the launch of our associate model, as we look to capitalise on a market segment that has been growing at pace in recent years.
“In doing so, we become the first company within the UK property market to offer our agents the widest range of career options and opportunities to suit their individual needs.”
Frankish added: “The Yopa Associate Model will enable agents to benefit from the strength, depth and support of the existing Yopa business, but at a pace to suit their own individual growth ambitions.
“If you’re curious about self-employment and want to learn more about our proposition, we’d love to talk, find out more about your goals and how we can help you realise them.”
