Coventry Building Society Group has announced the appointment of Andrea Melville as chief executive of The Co-operative Bank and group chief commercial officer. Currently head of everyday banking, business banking, and chief executive of Cater Allen at Santander UK, Melville will assume her new role in June 2025, subject to regulatory approval.
As chief executive, Melville will lead The Co-operative Bank’s executive team and join Coventry Building Society Group’s executive committee. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the group’s trading performance and supporting integration plans as part of the group’s broader transformation strategy.
