Private bank Hampden & Co has appointed Julian Wren (pictured) as a banking director in its London office.
Wren joins from Arbuthnot Latham where he was senior commercial banker.
He has also previously worked as a commercial banker at Coutts where he started his private banking career.
In its half year results for 2024, the bank announced total income of £14.9m and a pre-tax profit of £4.2m as it benefitted from deposit growth and demand for its lending services.
Hampden & Co has continued to add to its team in line with growing client numbers.
The bank recently relaunched an upgraded digital banking service as a complement to the personal service provided by its bankers.
Mark Plummer, head of private banking, London, at Hampden & Co, said: “Julian brings considerable business, technical and relationship expertise to Hampden & Co.
“His deep understanding of client needs, developed from a career working with private banks makes him a strong addition to the team.
“His appointment further underscores our aspirations to grow in London and the South-East.”
Wren added: “Hampden & Co has an enviable reputation as a private bank focused on meeting the needs of its clients.
“I look forward to using my commercial banking experience and knowledge to help grow the bank and to deliver an exceptional level of service.”
