Mortgage Advice Bureau appoints new strategic partnerships director and lending operations manager

Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has announced two senior appointments to support its growth and broker network. Rachel Geddes has been named strategic partnerships director, while Felicity Barnett takes on the role of lending operations manager.

Geddes, who brings 20 years of financial services experience—including roles at Santander and Countrywide—has spent the last decade running her own brokerage within MAB. Reporting to distribution director Gareth Herbert, she will work closely with lenders and appointed representative (AR) firms to drive business growth and support brokers in specialist lending.

“Looking for ways to help more clients achieve their financial goals has always been my passion,” said Geddes. “The experience I’ve gained running a brokerage means that I totally understand the day-to-day challenges firms and brokers encounter, so I can ensure the right solutions are delivered to MAB partners and advisers.”

Barnett, who will report to Geddes, joins with over 20 years of industry experience, having held roles at Nationwide, Skipton Building Society, and The Mortgage Brain. She will focus on supporting lending initiatives and further enhancing MAB’s presence in the new build sector.

“This is a journey I’m eager to be part of, and I’m most looking forward to the opportunity of working with the MAB team to shape the future,” said Barnett. “MAB’s forward-thinking approach and use of technology make it a leader in the market.”

Peter Brodnicki, CEO of MAB, welcomed the appointments, commenting: “Geddes and Barnett will make a formidable team. I look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have as we continue to grow.”

Herbert added: “Their expertise will be key as we work closely with our AR strategic partners and lenders to further strengthen our proposition and market share.”

Both Geddes and Barnett will start their roles in the coming weeks.
